This 2021 Mother’s Day campaign from North Face is a great example of linking a brand to an emotion elicited from a holiday.
North Face promoted celebrating strong moms as many of their customers are avid outdoors(wo)men or have been empowered from their strong mothers to get outdoors.
They were able to connect our emotions around our mothers’ to the emotions and memories we have of being outdoors. Which in-turn supports their brand and product as they are an outdoor/active brand.
