Use two gates. First an internal editorial pass, done in one batch sitting rather than post by post, checking voice, factual claims, and visuals. Then the client approval step, unchanged from your normal workflow. Publishing should stay locked until both gates clear, so nothing generated goes live unreviewed.
Hand-built content is reviewed as it is made, one post at a time, by someone who already had the client in mind. Generated content arrives in volume, all at once, from a system with no judgment about what happened this week. That changes the review job from proofreading to auditing, and it rewards a different rhythm: read the batch as a batch.
Four checks cover most of the risk. Voice: does this sound like the client, or like a brand in general. Facts: does any post claim a service, price, hour, or result that is not true. Visuals: do images match the brand's look and avoid the obvious generated-image tells. Repetition: read the month end to end, because the same idea phrased three ways is invisible post by post and glaring in sequence. Doing this in one pass is what preserves the time savings.
Do not redesign the client approval step because content is now generated. The client should see the calendar, approve or request changes, and have their sign-off gate publishing, the same as always. Keeping the process identical is also the cleanest answer to a client who asks how AI changes their involvement: it does not.
The failure that damages trust is a generated post going live before anyone read it. A workflow where unapproved content simply cannot publish removes that possibility structurally rather than relying on everyone remembering. Track approval status per client so you can see at a glance which calendars are cleared and which are waiting.
Approval workflows are included on every plan, and content from CaptionAI, ImageAI, or the CloudStudio add-on flows into the same queue as anything your team builds by hand. Clients approve through a no-login link in one click, with the option to leave change requests on specific posts, and white-labeled approval experiences are available on the Team and Agency plans. The creative approval software page shows the client-side view.
